Oppo I need opinions. I currently have plasti dipped tail lights over the blinker and reverse light because I hate the non OEM look of my fake crappy LED tailights. However I'm thinking of removing the dip and doing this. Opinions? (Sorry for poor photoshop). A lot of people do this full red tail light mod and I sort of like the way it looks.

wait, so can people see your blinker?

Yes, I made sure of that before putting it on, it's a very thin single coat and plasti dip is porous so you can see it.

I like that a lot better than the all red myself.

I like this better than all red as well. Helps break up the rear lights.

Looks like a mid-00's Ford Explorer with it all red like that.

Yeah you're right. I thought the all red looked familiar but now I know why.

My brother did the full red tails on his Neon, and then installed this so that he had properly functioning reverse lights: http://www.vleds.com/high-power-18w… .
I would recommend that if you do go to full red tails, do what he did: remove your tail lights, take off the glass (use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat it up the seal) and spray paint a light coat of red on the inside.
This is what his car looks like with full red tails.

Why not order Euro-spec taillights with yellow indicators? Shouldn't be complicated, and would probably still be street legal.

I don't think MLs have euro specs...

Oh, I hadn't even thought of that... You can still find Euro-style tails on Amazon, or clear ones like this if that's your thing: http://spyderauto.com/product.php?id…

Did you Plati-dip the rims too? Thinking of doing that on my truck?
